A 5k or 1.2k running/walking tour of Historic Virginia City! Start in Discovery-Ellingsen Park, and go to downtown Virginia City. 1.2k walkers and runners return to the park while the 5k participants take a hillier route past many additional historic structures in Virginia City and also take in the view from Boot Hill Cemetery. Finally the 5k run returns to the Discovery-Ellingsen Park for refreshments, awards, and a great time afterwards! Be on the lookout for the stage coach, narrow gauge train, and course marshals dressed in 1800's regalia! The Virginia City Goldrush benefits the Virginia City Chamber of Commerce and it's continual effort to support tourism, local business, and its community.

Friday August 25
6:00 - 8:00pm - Optional early bib pickup and in-person registration at Discovery-Ellingsen Park. Feel free to stick around for Dusk at Disco, free live music in the park!
Saturday August 26
8:00 - 9:15am - Race day bib pickup and in-person registration
9:30 - 5k start
9:35 - 1.2k start
10:30 onwards - Awards and refreshments, plus Old West finisher certificates for all participants
5k - $30 // 1.2k - $15
Includes race entry and t-shirt, custom bib with participant's name, and refreshments afterwards
Regular Registration (August 1st until race day)
5k - $35 // 1.2k - $20
